Who would win in a fight? Kermit or Dig’ Em?

In one corner, you have the crazy sugar-loving cereal icon, Dig ‘Em the Frog.

In the other, you have the noble Kermit the Frog.

Both wonderful childhood mascots, both dangerous amphibeans. So we posed the question: who would win in a one on one deathmatch to the…death?

Kermit the Frog

Kermit, born in 1969 on Sesame Street, was the popular hero for children and role models for adults everywhere. This frog might seem sweet and gentle-hearted, but don’t let his soft voice fool you. Kermit is intelligent and crafty. He has a massive posse behind him that includes a bear, a dog and a…whatever.

Dig 'Em from Smax

Dig ‘Em however, born in 1972 as the mascot for Honey Smacks cereal, has a small band of ex-mascots in his wake. He might be a fast-talking jive frog, but he certainly has no followers watching his back. It’s also unknown whether Dig ‘Em follows the standard scale of a frog, as pictured on the cereal box of being no larger than a bowl of smacks.

After much discussion and deliberation, it was decided that the victor would be in Dig ‘Em’s favor. Kermit has often been spotted taking quite a bit of harassment and abuse from on-again, off-again girlfriend, Mrs. Piggy. Kermit may have the knowhow, but he doesn’t have the ferocity or motivation to handle a real fight. We concluded that Dig ‘Em, as often seen with a ball cap usually slanted in a gangland manner, was just too “ghetto” for the likes of Kermie. It could be rumored that Dig ‘Em carries a piece and you definitely don’t want to be the caecilian in that sight.
